I watched the premiere of "So You Think You Can Dance" last Thursday when I was supposed to be doing the bio lab. I am soo glad that I watched cuz I was introduced to Mr. Michael Kim, who is LOVE. He's a CRAZY GOOD popper.

According the the San Jose Mercury News, the average teenager gets 7.5 hours of sleep.
7.5 hours of sleep, they say, is unacceptable, for the average teenager needs 9 hours of sleep.

Assuming that we get up at 7:00 am in the morning, in order to get 9 hours of sleep, we'd have to go to bed at 10:00 pm every night.
I have a question: Who in the name of Mission San Jose High School goes to sleep at 10:00 pm!?!?!?
My earliest bedtime is now 12:30, and the norm is usually 1:30ish. Woop.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I miss PE. It was the wonderful study-for-other-classes and no homework class... T_T
I'm also regretting taking APUSH. They really weren't kidding when they said there's A LOTTTTTT of work for the class. Most of my days are consumed with APUSH hw. >_< history is still a capable-of-being-interesting subject, but busy work and lots of reading are just not cool.
Moving on, here's Stephanie's Effective Time Saving Method For Studying!!! YAY
So all of us take showers/wash our hair (I SINCERELY HOPE SO :X). It takes me about 20 minutes to wash my hair and shower, not including the time to blow dry my hair. Anyways, I've been noticing that when I shower, my eyes are free. I'm usually just staring ahead at the shower stall wall or something. So... why not give your eyes something WORTHWHILE to stare at/read???
Here's what you do:
Tape a page (or more) of notes or something you need to study from onto the glass sliding doors of your shower stall. If you don't have glass doors, put the notes in those plastic sheet covers and tape them onto the walls in your shower stall. Now, when you shower, you can read/study your notes at the same time! How well this works for you will determine how long it takes you to shower and how well you are able to multi-task, but I can say from experience that I can usually get a good 20 minutes of quiet studying. And no, the shower water is not a destraction because it's just a background droning.
"Shower-studying" is best used for studying vocabulary, names, any specifics you need to memorize and drill into your brain. It's not as effective if you're doing a comprehensive overview study of a novel or something.

EDIT: Did you guys read the introduction for The Scarlet Letter?
Before you start thinking "Omfg it's Stephanie and her teeny bopper Shinhwa obsessiveness again",
just.... don't.... These are just my thoughts.
Shinhwa Summer Story "album" is coming out soon. And no, this is not an announcement urging you all to buy it because I myself am extremely unenthusiastic about it.
Why? Well take a look at the tracklist:
01 ) Intro
02 ) Oh! (New Club-Mix)
03 ) Hey, Dude!
04 ) How Do I Say (Rock & Roll Ver)
05 ) Young Gunz (the last one-Mix Ver)
06 ) Just be my love
07 ) How Do I Say (Final Play Ver)
That's right, THERE'S NOT A SINGLE NEW SONG, except for perhaps the intro -_-+ All the songs are remixes/different versions of old songs (none of them which were particularly good). Then there's "Hey, Dude!", their Coke promo song, and "Just Be My Love", an OST they sang.
I haven't heard these songs yet, but I personally think that this album is pathetic. Are they trying to make money while slacking off and recycling their old songs? I don't know... should we be blaming Shinhwa or Good Entertainment? Good Entertainment should really get some new artists. If you go onto their homepage, you'll see their entire website is basically a shrine to Shinhwa. Their only other artists are Charlie Park (Junjin's dad) and Ryu Da Young (actress), who are pretty inactive.
I belive that Good Entertainment has lots of publicity, exposure, and fame to offer to its artists. However, since Shinhwa is the only big name in the company, it exercises all its power solely on that group, thus creating the crappy products we see (this recycled Summer Story album, Shinhwa handkerchiefs, Shinhwa drawing books, Shinhwa towels, etc.)
Oh, and another thing: has the quality of Shinhwa's songs gotten worse since they left SM? None of the songs from their 7th album was very memorable or powerful. I don't think Good knows how to compose of song that displays Shinhwa at its fullest. But then again... they did get 2 Daesangs after switching to Good, but in my opinion it's just that there weren't many worthy albums last year, and plus everyone was hyped up about Shinhwa's highly-anticipated comeback with a new company.
Alright I'm done with my depressing thoughts about Shinhwa. Any of you Shinhwa/kpop fans care to contribute yours? And anyone else who has anything to say, I'm all ears.

People who've gotten their permits: Help me!!! T___T
For those of you who used the workbook, HOW DID YOU GUYS GET THROUGH IT??? I've had the darn book ever since November of last year, and I'm STILL NOT DONE. Can a book get any more boring? Gosh I'm always having to read and re-read about 50 times until anything registers. At this rate, I'm NEVER going to be driving. Not that I want to anyways... the idea of me driving freaks me out. A lot.
So back onto the subject, seriously... how did you guys finish it and remember all the crap in there? What "techniques" did you use? ROFL XD
Also, I was wondering how detailed the test is. Does it, for example, ask about all those different classes of licenses? Cuz dang, that is waaaay too detailed and hard to remember.
